Registration with the municipality
As a new resident, you must always register yourself with the municipality where you will be living. Do this as soon as possible after signing the contract and within five working days of your actual move. This will ensure that other agencies are also aware of your move. When you register at the new address, you will automatically be deregistered from the old address. As the tenant of an apartment, you must take out home contents insurance with an insurance company of your choice. It is not for nothing that we mention this obligation to take out such an insurance policy in our General Terms and Conditions, as part of your rental agreement. Don't forget to notify your change of address to your municipality, insurance company, your doctor, your telecom company, your bank and any major companies that send mail to you. PostNL also has a relocation service. Through the Relocation Service, you inform all important companies about your move through PostNL. When we handover the residence to you, you will receive a report containing the meter readings. Frequently asked questions
As a new tenant, when will I have access to My Vesteda?
Within 2 business days of the effective date of your lease, you will receive an activation notice by email.
When will I receive my rental contract?
You will receive the rental contract within 7 working days after accepting our offer.
When is the key transfer again?
The date and time of the key transfer is in the rental proposal you receive by email. Before accepting the rental proposal it is advisable to note this date and time in your calendar. After accepting the rental proposal digitally, this can no longer be found in your account.
Can I start moving right after the key transfer?
Once you have received the key, the rental property is yours and you can start with packing, moving and decorating!
